Week 17

I'm very serious!

So, as you can see by the picture above, Austin can sit up in his bumbo really well now.  Hardly any slouching!!  His expresions continue to crack us up -  he does smile quite a bit, but often he just seems to be staring and concentrating so hard, looking at everything around him!  Daycare and work continue to go well. It was a pretty busy work week, so alot more 8am drop offs and 6pm pick ups this week.  Austin seems to be really having good days at daycare though.  Pratima said that he rarely cries!  He's starting to take longer naps, and even had one that was 2+ hours this week.  We were happy to get some pictures from daycare this week, it certainly brightened my day to get a few emails during a busy work week with pictures of Austin happily playing.

In other news, I think I mentioned that Austin has started wiggling around in his crib at night.  One morning I heard him talking in his crib and went in to say good morning, and this is what I found:

I think he was rather proud of himself for getting stuck, judging by this expression:

Clearly, our little guy is growing up and showing us a little bit of his personality.  Its totally cliche, but its true what they say that 'they grow up so fast'.  He's learned so much in the past few weeks!  Soon enough, he'll be eating solid foods - when we were at the Olney Ale House the other night, he might have been hinting that he's getting ready:

He's a smart one, the bread here is tasty!
