Week 14 - a wedding, another visit with both grandmas, and back to work...

Hanging on Penn's campus in my shades!
We just got back from a wonderful weekend in Philadelphia celebrating my brother's wedding!  We stayed up by Penn's campus at a brand new Homewood Suites (which was really nice, except for the random alarm that went off Friday night from 10pm till midnight).  Grandma flew all the way to Philly to spend the weekend with us and babysit Austin while we were at the festivities.  On Saturday we woke up and walked around Penn's campus.  The weather was beautiful, and it was a fun nostalgic walk down memory lane!!

We visited Grandma and Grandpa at Tony's apartment downtown!

Grandmas!
All the grandparents!
The weekend was so much fun, and it was pretty entertaining to meet Tony and Robin's friends and to see some of Tony's old gang from when we were kids. Tony and Robin seemed to have a great time, and we are glad that we could be there to celebrate with them!

The happy couple!

We had plenty of time to relax and wander the city over the weekend.  Since Grandma had never had a cheesesteak, we took her to Pats and Geno's in south Philly for the authentic (but mostly touristy) experience.  She definitely enjoyed her first cheesesteak, and I think Austin did too!!

We got home and had a little more playtime before going off to bed.  Austin's totally enjoying 'sitting up', I love it!!

This week is my official first week back at work.  Thankfully, Grandma is here for the beginning of the week to make the transition a little easier. I've been busy at work yesterday and today, but thankfully mostly from my home office.  Every once in a while I pop out to see how the little guy is doing.  He's a champ - eating, sleeping, and playing well for grandma!  Last night as Mike was ripping up some junk mail, Austin just started laughing and laughing.  It was really the first sustained laughter we have heard, and it was cracking us up!  Tried to get it on video, although he had some better laughs that we didn't capture:

Tomorrow he's off to daycare for his first full day without me.  Everyone says it'll be harder on me than on him....I think he'll have alot of fun actually now that he's interacting with more toys and people.  Can't wait to hear how it goes!
