Finally, the long awaited post of our move to cozy Martin's Landing!! We had quite the successful and stress free packing/moving thanks to Allied Moving. They were able to pack and move our 10,600lbs of 'stuff' much quicker than we ever would have been able to. It gave us time to take care of finalizing the renting of our house. Yes, 1861 East Alameda is now home to 3 lucky college students. They seemed pretty low key, but we're still crossing our fingers that they don't inflict much damage. So far the funniest complaint has been that the garage door doesn't work. The property management company even called a garage door repairman to quote it, and we found out that the electrical wasn't working. Clearly no one thought to try flipping the switch next to the garage door opener! Problem solved!
So far we've been enjoying our new (rental) townhome in Germantown. Here's some pics for those of you who have been asking. Its still a work in progress, but starting to feel like home -- click on the slide show to see enlarged photos:

Looks nice having that trail right back there!
How does Julian like the new place?
We copied your blog idea and started one ourselves, I'll send you the link.
By the way, I (Jim Dahlem) posted that comment, I don't know why it says "USER" even though I activated my account to display my name...
