Wow, no blog entries since last April!!! I think that spending nearly every weekend last spring house hunting killed our motivation to update the blog with what we're up to! That being said, when I first started this blog I had fun sharing our experience renovating our 1st house in Tempe, AZ. Now that we're proud new home owners in Maryland, we have finally begun to update the new house and make it our own. Sounds like its time to revamp the blog!!

Our first major project (other than replacing fixtures and doors) was to paint the living room and hang new window coverings. Boy has it made a difference. Here's the living room before we moved in:

We had both forgotten how much paint can make a difference. In our case, the first attempt at making a difference turned the living room into a slight easter egg like turquoise green that we hated so much that we didn't even remember to take a picture. Note: Sliced Cucumber is not a good paint color for a living room!! Above you can see our final choice - Behr's 'Lion'...we love it! And what motivated us to get started on this project? Its been very cold outside:
