Buddies!

Baby friends!
This past weekend we met up with our neighbors and took the kids to Brookside Gardens and Wheaton Regional Park.  Austin and Boston were quite cute together at the park. We didn't know it at the time, but I think they were telling each other stories about ways to torture mom and dad.  We had been dealing with the odd problem of Austin rolling over onto his belly at night and waking up startled to be on his tummy...resulting in many trips to his room to flip him back over since he hasn't yet figured out how to roll back the other way.  Literally, the day after our trip to the park, Boston started doing the same thing!  We ended up leaving to bbq some lunch before having the chance to take the miniature train ride, but next time we'll have to do it.  I think Austin would actually like a train ride through the woods!  We took quite a few pictures, but with these two kids its hard not to!

Silly babies!
The babies hung out afterwards sharing toys while we bbq'd and ate lunch.  Maybe sharing is the wrong word for it, because everything that Boston had in his hands, Austin would try and grab from him.  Guess we need to teach sharing at some point.  Amazingly, Austin had so much fun that he skipped his afternoon nap.  I can only imagine how much fun it will be to watch them play together as they grow up!

This week seemed to fly by...even with Austin's nasty cold keeping all of us up at night for a few nights.  At one point we thought we might be pulling an all nighter.  But, I think we're on the upside so hoping for some good sleep this weekend.  Our little guy is getting so much bigger these days, so soon we are going to upgrade from the infant carseat.  His little feet hang over the current seat, and its really way too heavy to carry around.  Amazon had a good sale price this week, so we got Austin's new seat - say hello to the Britax Cowmoofloge seat:

Testing out the new seat!

We headed out to a pumpkin patch this afternoon for some good fall fun!  We went there last year with the Stuckeys, and thought Austin would love wandering with us through the huge pumpkin field.  This year we went with the Ravinius's and the Dahlems.  Of course, it was good for some photo ops.  We took a hay ride:

Avery had fun photo-bombing everyone's pics.  She loves the camera!

Austin helped pick out a pumpkin (okay, not really):

In other news, our basement renovation begins next week!  Not much planned for the next few weeks, just enjoying the fall weather.
