Almost done...

Well, the last few weeks have been semi-chaos in a fun, but burnt out kind of way. Between traveling to the east coast and San Jose for work, we fit in a fabulous weekend to Monterey and San Francisco. Oh, and we nearly finished the master bath and kitchen remodel!!! We're definitely in a bit of a time crunch, with a possible move the first or second week of September, so its starting to feel a bit like a Flip that House episode where things inevitably don't always go according to plan! Regardless, we're almost finished (and it only took a few days). Check out our pictures below of the work in progress -- its sooo pretty.

Clearly noticeable is the lack of countertops, which was probably the only real glitch in the plan. Imagine the looks on our faces when we realized that we designed a beautiful kitchen with an 11.5 ft. countertop space and that Home Depot and Lowes only sell stock laminate countertops up to 10ft. Oops. So much for the cheap quick solution! Plan B turned out to be quite possibly the most ridiculous customer service we've ever experienced. Determined to expedite an order, we made several trips to Home Depot where every quote was different and delivery dates were way too far out. We decide to outsmart them and track down their supplier and try to order them directly. We find Countertops, LLC and learn that they have in stock everything that we need...but they charge more and tell us to go through Home Depot. Doh!!!! After a few more sales people we finally have everything ordered and ready for pick up in 4 days. Ridiculous.

"Demolition"

"Yep, the wires were so big we needed hedge clippers"

"Its a start"

"So pretty!"
